Lauri is a firm believer in strong communities through action. She serves on the Development Committee for the RI Center for the Book and is a Board Member at the Community Libraries of Providence and JCDSRI (Jewish Community Day School of RI). She is also a Certified Wildlife Transporter for the Wildlife Rehabilitators' Association of RI.
Living on the East Side of Providence with husband Terry, dog Fergus (half Golden Retriever, half Bernese Mountain Dog), and rescue cat Cosette, Lauri’s personal interests are varied, including reading, hiking, weightlifting, concerts, travel, photography, and birding. She is also the proud parent of two grown children and boasts an impressive shoe collection!
